Welcome to the Introduction to River SUP class! This course is designed for beginners eager to explore the exciting world of stand-up paddleboarding on rivers. Whether you're new to SUP or looking to transition from flat water to moving water, this class will provide you with the foundational skills and knowledge to paddle safely and confidently on rivers. What You'll Learn: Basic SUP Techniques: Proper stance and paddling techniques. Efficient turning and maneuvering. Balancing and stability on moving water. River Reading Skills: Understanding river flow, currents, and eddies. Identifying hazards and safe paddling routes. Basic navigation skills for river environments. Course Structure: On-Land Instruction: Equipment overview, including board selection and paddle types. Safety briefing and basic river hydrology.
